I just caught this rather sad bit of news while browsing Tony Mitchell's site. Apparently a dispute with their landlord has led them to make this decision.

Although I never managed to get my act together during my visits to London and actually get to the Cafe, I'm always a little saddened when I learn of such a closing. And while the store may be going, you can still shop at their online store for kinky notecards, books and more.

Isabeau and Sebastian of Montreal's Fetiche School, Fetiche Shop and Fetiche Soiree have planned the ultimate reunion for all people wanting to celebrate, shop or learn about different kinky sexual practices, all the while raising money for charity.

The Festival starts off on August 7 with a Launch Cocktail party from 7pm til 3am, and fetish parties, play parties, workshops, dances and expositions continue until Sunday evening August 10.

Germany Fetish Ball weekend celebrates its 5th anniversary and promises a bubbling weekend in Germanys capital. Reuters says: "Thailand's rubber producers, will only bring a margin of their harvest to market this year. October rains came too late for trees in Thailand's prime rubber-growing region to recover from the driest winter in two decades. Few of the trees have been watered properly, meaning the harvest next season will be meager, due to the lack of rubber sap. Forecasters say output in Thailand, the world's largest producer of raw rubber, will fall to a 50-year low and as a result the price of all rubber and latex products will sky rocket."

UK film maker and rubberist, Andre is seeking latex wearing bad guys for a secret agent film. The film will be a cross between James Bond and Pamela Anderson's VIP, with a lot of latex added. Already on board to play the sadistic boss of the evil organization is Anastasia Pierce.

Andre plans on playing a bad guy himself along with two other guys, but they are in dire need of an additional 7-8 extra bad guys. The bad guys will keep getting killed, shot or blown up by Sheila Almeida (the good female agent), so when the film is completed it will look like thousand different bad guys get their ass kicked!

You won't need to say anything or have any previous acting experience, all you need is your own black latex catsuit and a black hood and be in or near Los Angeles, from Friday March 7th to Sunday March 9th. Actors would ideally be around five feet, nine inches tall, but it's not essential.

Latex couture designers Libidex are looking for fashion models to help promote their new collection for women.

The new collection, designed by Simon Rose and his team, was a great success at the London Barbican XPO in October, and Libidex will soon be staging a photoshoot as part of its plans to publicise the new designs to customers on its website and in its Covent Garden shop, Liberation.

"We're after a fresh look, so personality and enthusiasm is more important in our models than the classic fetish style and approach", says Simon. "I'm not even looking for highly experienced models – an interest in our designs, a strong desire to model our particular styles, and the right look could be more important than years of experience in front of the camera. That doesn't mean I'm excluding anyone with experience – but it has to be the right sort!"

Leading British latex fashion label Libidex yesterday unveiled a new sheet latex manufacturing company called Radical Rubber.

The new London-based company is specifically geared to the needs of the latex clothing industry, offering sheet latex of fashion-grade quality to fetish fashion designers and makers all over the world.

SuicideGirls is taking the photographer known as Lithium Picnic to court. The guy is largely responsible for creating the SuicideGirls "look" in thousands of photographs on the site, he worked for them until last November, but now he shoots with former SuicideGirls model Apnea. Therefore SuicideGirls is consider him for an altporn competitor, an violation of his SuicideGirls contract.
