Waders made a prominent star turn during Prada’s Fall 2009 runway show. Perhaps Ms Prada was influenced by some of the recent floods in Venice, however the waders on the runway appear to be leather, alas, and not rubber.
Still, there’s something really fetching about the whole line, which incorporates some of the signature Prada awkward lines and shapes which border on frumpy (To wit, this classic and well-cut coat paired with galoshes and sock suspenders!), but manage to look kinky and subversive to my fond eyes, at least!
