The upcoming “Neon Genesis Evangelion” live-action film may feature super cool rubber costumes! WETA Workshops are currently working on a live adaptation of the famous and highly criticized japanese anime (animation) series (and movies) “Neon Genesis Evangelion”. Lately some pre-production artwork has been featured in the japanese anime magazine “NewType“. What made my eyes pop, where a drawing of a certain red haired girl wearing a red catsuit (know as a “plug-suit” in the series). In the original series she is know as “Asuka Langly” – a hot tempered german girl and pilot of a giant mecha robot called a “EVA”. All “EVA” pilots wear suits similar to hers, both male and female pilots but there are various color combinations. Let’s hope they make the plug-suits from body hugging shiny rubber!
