Latex Fashion News!

I received some very exciting latex photos from an old online friend, Spirit the Rubberdoll, who collaborated fairly recently with the noted South African fashion designer Suzann Heins on her runway show. Originally, the plan was to spice up the collection with leggings and gloves (a la DSquared2), but the designer became so fascinated with the material that she asked Spirit to make some full garments from her own specifications.

The results? Sexy yet sophisticated pieces which complemented the other styles and blended in rather effortlessly with the rest of the line– Spirit thinks perhaps this is why the clothes shown are not polished, but were made more matte with powder. I visit Kaori’s Latex Dreams Etsy store frequently, because she seems to be updating it nearly every day with some new dress or headpiece, all of which are very affordable for the unique design and excellent craftsmanship involved.

3XL pointed me towards this Etsy Store for a London based designer–Ooh La Latex, whose designs beautiful separates, dresses and accessories, including some very detailed corsets. It’s a stunning range!

Our friends at SavageWear in Berlin are very busy prepping for the upcoming Berlin Fetish Weekend, but apparently not too busy to update their range. New items are still being added to the latest range which currently includes a bit of latex Steampunk!

And finally, of all the latex and high fashion pairings recently, this outfit from Prada has to be my favorite so far. I adore the no-nonsense nerdy edge of their collections, and I especially like how even the latex takes on their practical and quirky edge. Brilliant!
