Aside from latex, I have a deep love for Japanese animation and comics, more commonly known as anime and manga. I found a great way to combine the two: I bought myself a latex dakimakura body pillow!
What is a Dakimakura Body Pillow?
Originally from Japan, Dakimakura is a long soft pillow used for sleeping with a print of an anime character, similar to Western orthopedic body pillows.
Typically available in two sizes, 180 or 150 cm in length and 50 cm in width (100 cm circumference), with a pillowcase made from fabric and an insert filled with fibers.
My dakimakura has Latex Vtuber Mitsuki Awano print and an extra pillowcase made from transparent latex. It’s the perfect combination of cuteness and kinkiness!
Where do you buy a Latex Dakimakura Body Pillow?
A variety of latex themed anime pillowcases are available at Freeksngeaks.com and YanaPNeko’s Etsy shop. If anime is not your thing, you might be interested in girls cosplaying character like 2B (Nier: Automata) or Asuka Langley.
I brought the pillowcase for my dakimakura directly from Mitsuki Awano‘s BOOTH store (great way to support a creator/artist) and the pillow insert via eBay.
The transparent latex pillowcase was custom made by Blackstyle. But most latex manufacturers should have no problem making a long pillowcase for you. Mine are made from 0,35 mm translucent latex and has 5 small snap Fasteners for closure, a zipper would also work.
Tip: Transparent latex will be much more transparent if you shine it on both sides with silicone shine.
Should you get a Latex Dakimakura Body Pillow?
A body pillow offers excellent support, warmth, and comfort when sleeping, and the combination with a latex cover transforms it into an entirely different experience! I really love it!
