This week LatexWiki reached it’s article number one thousand, further securing it’s position as the biggest latex fetish information resource on the internet.

The free latex fetish encyclopedia was started back in April 2007, after a Wikipedia editor successfully removed most of the information on “latex fetishism” from the pages of the Wikipedia. It became clear that in order to successfully share our knowledge and to prevent people who do not understand our fetish from tampering with it, we had to make our own encyclopedia dedicated to latex fetishism.

In the first years the LatexWiki was located in a subdirectory of Lustlovelatex.com. Most of the core articles was written by myself and Toproop, who build most of the LatexWiki’s hugely popular shopping section. By the fall of 2008 LatexWiki had 365 articles and was transferred to it’s own domain. Soon after, the number of contributors exploded thanks to a very successful writers contest and in the next three months the number of articles was more than doubled. Traffic sky rocked.

Today, the LatexWiki has over 800 daily visitors and is ranked number 1 by Google for the search term “latex fetish“. The article database is growing faster than ever, thanks to all the contributors and a dedicated team of administrators. I’m confident that the LatexWiki will continue to grow in many years to come.
