Hope your New Years plans are festive and shiny, dear readers. Mr Rubberbrain and I are on our way later to 3XL’s and Latex Kitty’s apartment to celebrate the New Year in latex with other rubbery fiends. It’s becoming something of a tradition, and promises to be shiny and festive this year as well. Whatever you end up doing to celebrate 2009, try and bring a little latex into it!

Rubbergirl is a talented Danish artist living in Copenhagen whose artwork is taking an increasingly fetishistic tone as she explores her fascination with latex and BDSM.
In the past year, she has discovered new things about her fetish, and has begun to explore some of the feelings behind the fetish through her art. Newer paintings have become much more graphic in style, with a strong emphasis on black and white. Earlier works focused on her relationships and the feelings of isolation one often experiences before fully embracing ones fetish.
You can view her growing body of work at IsdanArt.com, or contact the artist to commission your own painting.
Just in time for holiday gifting and for your New Years ensemble, comes Dennis Design. Dennis creates unique necklaces and bracelets that incorporate latex or rubber with silver beads and settings. Each piece is crafted by hand out of dozens of hand cut latex strips to create 3 dimensional works of wearable art.
Visitors to Copenhagen can purchase them exclusively at Latexa Fashion, and worldwide latex fiends can order a custom piece by emailing DennisSmykker@gmail.com.
