I just saw this in my email – the welcome return of Thierry Mugler to the spotlight. Seems pop idol Beyonce convinced him to design her stage costumes after falling in love with his Motorcycle collection featured at the Met’s Superheroes exhibition last year. Mr. Mugler remains a big influence for quite a lot of kinky folk, so this will no doubt be welcome news to many of our readers!

“For years the MudiaArt, a former steel factory from Krupp, had been the home base of the Fetish Evolution Ball. The atmosphere of this, sort of mysterious, undergroundish venue is inextricably bound up with the whole event for many. This year however, the organizers decided to change course. The possibility to have a location with better technical facilities at their disposal, made them move the main event from Monday to Sunday and from MudiaArt to Club Essence. How that would turn out to be, was the big question.”
“Club Essence existed from two large rooms of an old cinema. Because of the phased placed layout of the rooms, one had a good view at the stage with the catwalk so the shows were clearly visible for everybody. The interior was chique and modern and 80’s music welcomed you while entering the premises. Not exactly what a die-hard fetishist would expect. From dark and industrial into light and modern and from underground to mainstream. We had to get used to the idea a little at the beginning.”

Had some kinky friends over for dinner last night and at one point we had a discussion about if latex fetishism is given by the genes or the environment. The beliefs was very different from person to person, but everybody had their own theory about the origin of their latex fetish.
I found it very interesting and would like to hear what others thinks about this, so I started a new thread about it in the Discussion Forum:
What Causes Latex Fetishism? Your genes or the environment?
What’s your theory?
