At a fetish party, people wear fetish clothing and meet up with like-minded individuals to celebrate their fetishes. There are various types of fetish events, such as kinky munches, fetish fairs and markets where fetish clothing and goods are sold.
There has been a feverish buzz going round the rubber community of the universe as we know it… nothing to do with the Norovirus or the Hitachi wand I hasten to add. More to do with the fact that we are 2 weeks and counting to the second event of Rubber Cult on the 2nd of February 2013.
Serious rubberists who were present at the birth of Rubber Cult last September will recall an evening never before experienced by most of us. It was as if we had died and gone to rubber heaven. I certainly did that night as anyone who witnessed me will attest to…
The bar was set high that premiere night, although reading down through the schedule the Second Coming looks set to be an equally tumultuous celebration of all things rubbery.
• Marnie Scarlet will be there debuting her latest latex performance in her own inimitable surreal fashion. Mutterings of a Magritte inspired show are in the air.
• Adam Electric, the majesty of living latex sculpture will wow the throng once more with his latest incarnation.
• Lady Arrakis has never exhibited in the UK until now. Be there early if you want to catch a glimpse of her artwork depicting cute, humourous rubberist illustrations as well as her stunning fetish photography.
• Lottie Kixx will be down from Edinburgh for the evening to perform something deliciously debauched for the latex bourgeoisie gathered before her.
• Mistress Roug’e will be showcasing her dominance and sadism in a toe curling demonstration of rubber play. Pity her slave…or envy him…?
• Dudea of Germany specialise in medical and heavy rubber garments for fashion and play. A selection from their range will be featured on the rubber catwalk that evening.

Get there early as doors close at 2am. However the Rubberati need not stagger home in their 10 inch heels to get tucked up in their onesies just yet; plans are afoot for an after party in a fully equipped dungeon location in Warren Street. Cultists will have exclusive access to play all night. Contact Rubber Cult directly for further details of the after party. Hey, out of towners need not even bother booking a hotel at this rate!
A word of advice, with all that rubber ensconced in one area, it might be an idea to swathe your latex bits in the slickiest, slippiest silicone lube. Then you can slip and slide through the rubbery congregation with ease and grace, instead of the familiar squeaking and sticking as you squeeze your way through the melee. Nothing worse than rubber friction burns eh?
Rubber Cult the Second Coming will take place on Saturday February 2nd from 8pm to 2am at Shillibeers, Carpenters Mews, North Road, Islington, London N7 9EF.

Remember, Rubber Cult has a strict rubber only dress code. Don’t try to gain entry unless you are in FULL rubber. If you don’t bounce you’ll be relegated to PVC purgatory.

Kurt Mulhousen, the man behind Artwith Latex, lost both of his parents after a tragic fire burned down their home earlier this month. All of Kurt’s clients and friends wish to help him in these hard times, so they are arranging a benefit event called “Art Loves Latex”. New York, New York – International fetish model Kylie Marilyn was crowned Miss Rubber World 2012 in front of an electrifying crowd of rubber worshipers. The event was part of New York Rubber Ball, presented by FetishMovies.com.
“For the first time, this award goes across the ocean and I’m proud to represent it in Europe,” said Marilyn. “Thank you so much to Brigitte More for an awesome dress. That was a huge factor in our win. Thank you so much to Chiyo Nakamura and all the awesome latex designers and labels who helped us. I hope to bring many kinksters and fetishists to New York next year for an even better show.”
Marilyn’s duties as Miss Rubber World 2012 will be to promote the rubber fetish community, and act as a representative of the community at events. With the title, tiara and sash, comes over $8,000 worth of rubber merchandise and accessories from sponsors such as. The Baroness, Kink Engineering, Lady Oops, Dawnamatrix Designs, Lovely Latex, Anatomic Bomb and FetishMovies.com.
Marilyn’s victory was not easily won. Competing with her for the title were nine excellent rivals, including designers, models, and Dominatrixes. Most, like Marilyn, had extensive connections in the fetish community and had elaborate stage shows for the fantasy performance competition. Lydia Lael, first runner up in the competition, won over $4,000 in prizes, and third place winner Sophia Larou took home over $2,000 in latex swag.
“Shae Fatale definitely deserved to win,” said contestant Queen Titania. “She had the coolest, most creative outfits. Although Austin White kind of deserved to win for walking around in ballet boots like it was nothing. Regardless, I had a lot of fun last night and met some very cool people.”
One of Marylin’s first duties as Miss Rubber World 2012 will be to represent the title and the rubber community at Fetish Evolution Weekend, April 6-8, in Germany.
