I saw an announcement today on |R|ubberist.net, which I frequently do on that site.
Gromet from the excellent fetish and fiction site Gromet’s Plaza, in cooperation with Kink Engineering of Toronto is hosting a story competition on his site. Since the prize is a vacuum bed, obviously the storyline must involve a vacuum bed.
There are more details on the site itself, and here’s the specs on the terrific vacuum bed that one talented writer will win.
Speaking of vacuum beds, here’s a link to a Social Kink article I participated in about vacuum beds, complete with probably the lamest experience in a vac bed ever recorded for posterity. ;-) Enjoy!
We are proud to announce that our very own discussion forum is online! Find it under “Forum” in the top navigation menu.
In the “General Discussion” forum you can post about anything related to latex fetishism and kinky lifestyles. It’s also here that some of the topics from the main blog will be taken up.
Under “Fetish Events and Parties” you can read about upcoming fetish parties and kinky events. Feel free to post event reports and traveling tips.
If you are looking for one or more like minded fetish friends in your local area, then give the “Latex Personals” a try.
Please post in “Latex in the Mainstream” if you spotted latex clothing or fetishism outside the scene. That be in magazines, movies, fashion, celebrities, music, ect.
“Making Latex Clothing” is where you can find help and tips if you are making your own latex clothing. Latex Kitty has volunteered as moderator of this forum.
Last but not least, there is “Lost & Found” where you can ask for help if you are looking for something – or tell others about great latex resources that you found.
We hope to see you in our new latex discussion forum!
“Wilhelmusvlug aka run_paint_run [aka Pim] is an Amsterdam-based artist with a love for fetish, oil and canvas and underground alternative lifetyles. It was inevitable that these passions would come together. The result is a striking new series of fetish portraits in oil paint.”
run_paint_run’s art was on display at the 2008 Skin Two Rubber Ball, where I had the opportunity to meet the artist when I was introduced by fellow Amsterdam-based fetishist Mistress Erika. The artist himself struck me as very down to earth and modest in spite of his tremendous abilities. The art on display were near-photorealistic oil paintings of local fetishists, such as the painting on the right.
According to the artist’s MySpace profile, he is also shooting videos now for Wasteland. I can only assume that like the rest of his work, the results will be a superb new addition to the fetish community.
Check out his portfolio and/or friend him at his Myspace profile, and read more about his extensive background on his home page.
This month the LatexWiki’s list of latex clothing stores reached mark one hundred! I know it’s quite a claim to say that every latex store is included, but I dare you to prove us wrong. Please email the name, address and website of the store there is not on the list to: storelist@latexwiki.com.
The list only contains physical fetish stores from all over the world, which all carry latex clothing. In total there are 56 cities in 16 countries represented. Each store has their own article featuring the company logo, contact information, the latex labels the store sells, opening hours and payment options. Most stores feature photos of the store (inside and outside) and all of them (except the ones in Japan) have been uplinked to the latex clothing stores Google map so people easily can find the location.
The list first came to be back in april 2007, when long-time latex fan Toproop saw a need for a worldwide latex fetish shopping guide. He contacted me and suggested that I should include such a list as a feature in this weblog. Soon after the latex fetish encyclopedia was created, the first version of the list of latex clothing stores was some of the first content to be added to the LatexWiki’s database.
Please help us keep the list uptodate and feel free to write reviews if you visited any of the stores. Fetish store owners are also more than welcome to improve and update the information on their stores. Don’t forget to add a link to the LatexWiki to your website and help us spread the word!
Marquis America has recently launched MyFetishCafe.com. The site allows users to make and connect with new friends, upload pictures and video, post and browse classifieds, check out video on demand (through Marquis Cinema), and find out what’s going on with fresh news and up-to-date events. Users can also read blogs or start one of their own. And, not to be forgotten is the shopping – you can buy Marquis America DVDs, get current and back issues of Marquis Magazine, along with kinky original art, toys, accessories and books.
“MyFetishCafe.com is garnering thousands of hits in just the few weeks it’s been up,” says Entrepreneur, Erik von Gutenberg. “Marquis Magazine and DVDs are well respected in the fetish community, so it seemed logical to start a social networking site. We are trading banners, looking into affiliate programs and are confident this site will blow up.”
