On November 7th – 9th, EXOTICA 4 in Detroit is hosted by Tim Woodward of Skin Two. Emily Marilyn hosts the VIP room, together with Ruby Luster. Featured guests include a Who’s Who of the fetish world – personalities such as Steve Diet Goedde, Perry Gallagher, Angela Ryan, Mistress Persephone, Aradia Ardor, Nori Haolo, Larry Bradbury, Vivian Irene Pierce, Nicotine, London Shadows, Evelyn Rose, We Are Latex – and more confirming each day. Exotica is about excess – the previous weekend featured over 75 performers in 48 stage shows!

The 3 day Expo features dozens of vendor booths, displaying the best in fetish clothing, adult toys, erotica, art and jewellery. Half a dozen afternoon workshops are presented each day by experts such as Steve Diet Goedde, Nawa G and Lil J, Charlie B, Don Sir, Aradia Ardor and many more. A one thousand square foot dungeon play area is available all day long. Exotica 4 also marks the debut of latex couture designer Frenchy LaRue and fetishwear designer Hilary’s Vanity. Joining them in the fashion shows will be designers Ego Assassin, Ceres Moon, House of Bias, Leather Realm, Noo Moon, Grey Gargolye and Exquisite Restraint Corsets. On Friday November 7th, the SLICK! party and fashion shows are located in Clutch Cargos, a former church turned into a concert hall.
Saturday night’s EXOTICA SKIN TWO BALL features the best of the stage shows, with top national acts such as Chaos Productions, Paint Tribe, Vena’s Evil Dolls and Miss Pussy Kat – star of America’s Got Talent!
To take advantage of the new half million dollar sound system at the Crofoot Ballroom, Exotica’s enormous lineup of dance DJs is joined by guest DJs including Stitch (Mushroomhea), Curse Mackey (My Life with the Thrill Cult and Pigface) and New York’s Xris (SMack!) If you prefer a more intimate setting, enjoy the VIP Lounge upstairs, where there’s a separate roster of national acts as well as a play area.

The fetish party last Saturday was really fun! I arrived at the venue, a industrial hall in the suburbs of Copenhagen, at 11 o’clock. I was wearing my black catsuit and matrix coat with combat boots. The place was packed and hardcore techno rhythms was already pumping the dance floor.
Upon my arrival, I just saw the start of the pony girl/boy race. Later I learned that Susann and Marcus of “A Thing for Rubber” won the first prize; a pair of tickets to the RubberBall in October. Congratulation! I’ll see you there!
I headed strait for the backstage area to find my friends from the NPNG. The backstage area turned out to be a chaotic mix of bodies, food, shouting, make up, drinks, latex wear and latex polish! I dropped my stuff and got a updated on the show.
There was over two hours before I had to be ready to go on stage. So I left my belongings and headed for the bar, where I meet up with a lot of my friends. The Fetish fashion party is the biggest event in Denmark, so everybody was there. After an hour I headed back to the back stage area to get ready for the main show.
The NPNG fashion show had four different sections; formal wear, street wear, lingerie and hardcore. Can you guess what section I was in? Hardcore!
The first three sections was regular catwalk stuff. Stunning outfits, great models. But the last one, the hardcore one, was more like a role play act: There was a domina, a guard, a slaveboy, two nurses… and a runaway mental patient… Me!
So, I was running around like a maniac, trying to get away from the queen bitch. I was wearing a really beautiful white strait jacket with black straps. But “sadly”, my queen found me and send her two naughty rubber nurses out to catch me. So I was strapped up and finally dragged off the catwalk.
It was amazing! I can’t give enough praise to the whole NPNG team! They worked their asses off to make this a success. The NPNG show blew everybody away, the crowd loved it! I’m so happy to have been a part of it!
I was very nervous and excited before and until the party started, my hands was all sweaty and my stomach felt like it was going to explode from the pressure of a million butterflies.
I arrived one hour before midnight. The girl at the door was very nice and explained where the things where. I found the “dressing room” and quickly slipped into a black latex t-shirt, my PVC jeans with black latex jocks underneath and a pair of short black rubber gloves. After some latex polishing with some silicone, I headed for the wardrobe.
In the wardrobe, I left my belongings with some nice girls in PVC attires and called “Latrix” with my mobile phone. Latrix was only minutes away and arrived short after. After a formal greeting, Latrix hurried off to the dressing room and I entered the main room and looking for the bar.
There was not crowed yet, so getting a beer at the bar took me no time. I lighted a cigarette and looked around. All my worries when down the drain, I was just another guy in a small crowd, where black rubber, PVC and leather, was the main theme. I saw people wearing all sort of stuff; there where three guys in full rubber suits, a girl in a leather attires with chains and spikes, another in a Victorian looking corset with long silk stockings and just opposite of me there where a couple of guys with latex t-shirts and pants, just like me!
Latrix arrived soon after, wearing PVC jeans, sleeveless t-shirt and a big smile. We spend some time at the bar and talked a little. Then Latrix showed me around and told me about what was going on in the various places. He also introduced me to some of his friends.
The rest of the night when by very fast, like an express train. The whole astrosphere was great and very open. All the people I meet were extremely polite and friendly, and they gladly talked to newcomers.
I left an hour before the party officially ended. I wandered home though a rainy Copenhagen, very tired and extremely happy.
