There is only one woman-owned business in America that’s exclusively dedicated to latex fashions, with everything made on the premises. And that business, The Baroness’ Elegant, Provocative Latex Fashions, will close its doors at the end of August.
The Baroness (the business and its creator share the same name) has decided that now is the perfect time to fulfill a life dream to move to France. Influenced by both the Covid-19 loss of revenue, (despite support from loyal customers and an accommodating landlady).
Using the months of lockdown The Baroness reviewed, cataloged and archived both the history of The Domaine of The Baroness along with the fetish scene she is such a part of. This provided an overview as to just how much the latex world has changed and as a result, realized that this was the perfect time to move on to her next phase.

Head designer, Sven Appelt, created an ultra-feminine collection this season. He combined lace with latex in many of his suits and dresses, and exaggerated the silhouettes of many of the new pieces. This results in opulently puffed sleeves, ruffled dresses, and skin-tight suits that show off every feminine curve. The collection is shown mostly in black and darker colour tones, but of course clients can order everything in their own preferred colour. Appelt says, about the new collection, “I wanted to give our female customers clothing that highlighted their feminine side, but I wanted to give it a highly polished sheen. The new collection is very chic. But it’s a hard chic, and not for the timid.”
Other new pieces in the Summer 2013 Women’s Collection just released by RubAddiction include updates on classic looks, such as catsuits with super-hero style details, and little black dresses for the bedroom or the boardroom.

Berlin based latex manufacturer Très Bonjour got the chance to dress up a true V.I.P. as part of a charity project! In a very spontaneous collaboration with TUSH Magazine, Très Bonjour design team created the worlds finest latex couture Barbie for the charity project “Design with Barbie”.
Several prominent people from the fashion industry, as well as several actresses and athletes, were asked to do an individual outfit for the Barbie doll.
The Très Bonjour team only had 20 hours to complete the outfit – a tough deadline, but they had a lot of fun as well as you can imagine. The result is an astounding black latex gown with huge frills and harness details, matching latex harness gauntlets and latex hood topped with a mohawk.
From July 2nd – during Berlin Fashion Week – all Barbies will be exhibited at the famous German shopping hotspot KaDeWe in Berlin. In the end of the year all the unique Barbies will be sold at an auction. The auction proceed goes to the children charity project “Wir helfen Kindern” from German TV station RTL and will be presented by Sylvie van der Vaart.
Natually, Très Bonjour hopes their rubber Barbie will generate good proceeds at the auction. We wish their rubber dolly the best of luck!
